How Kisspeptin-10 works
Kisspeptin binds its receptor (KISS1R) on hypothalamic neurons, triggering the release of GnRH. GnRH then signals the pituitary to release LH and FSH, which drive sex-hormone production and gamete development. Because it acts at the very top of this cascade, it is a precise research tool for probing reproductive function.

A worked example
A 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg/mL. A 400 mcg dose is then 0.16 mL — about 16 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe, giving roughly 12 doses per vial before accounting for residual volume left in the vial and syringe.
