How Insulin works
It binds insulin receptors on muscle, fat, and liver cells, signaling them to take up glucose from the blood and store it. This lowers blood sugar. A worked example
A 10 mg vial reconstituted with 10 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 1 mg/mL. A 3500 mcg dose is then 3.5 mL — about 350 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe, giving roughly 2 doses per vial before accounting for residual volume left in the vial and syringe.
