A worked example
A 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 2.5 mg/mL. A 100 mcg dose is then 0.04 mL — about 4 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe, giving roughly 50 doses per vial before accounting for residual volume left in the vial and syringe.

The DAC (drug affinity complex) version has a much longer half-life and is described on a weekly schedule, while the no-DAC form is described on a daily one. Neither is FDA-approved. The reconstitution arithmetic is the same for both.
How much water for a 5 mg CJC-1295 vial?
2 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL, which places a 100 mcg dose at 4 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe. Some people use less water to reduce injection volume, others use more to make small doses easier to read.
