MIC (Lipo-C with B12) calculator

A lipotropic injection blend of methionine, inositol, and choline, often combined with B12 or carnitine. Evidence for weight loss is weak.

Also known as: Methionine Inositol Choline, Lipotropic B12 injection

A worked example

A 10 mg vial reconstituted with 10 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 1 mg/mL. A 10000000 mcg dose is then 10000 mL — about 1000000 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe, giving roughly 0 doses per vial before accounting for residual volume left in the vial and syringe.

Commonly cited dose range

Figures circulating for MIC (Lipo-C with B12) run from 5000000 mcg to 15000000 mcg. MIC blends are dosed in milliliters of the combined solution rather than by a single active amount. Figures shown are total milligrams per typical vial, in micrograms. Dosing follows the compounding pharmacy's labeling.

Common questions

What does MIC stand for?

Methionine, Inositol, and Choline — three nutrients involved in fat metabolism. Blends often add B12 or L-carnitine.

Does MIC with B12 cause weight loss?

Controlled evidence is weak. MIC injections have not been shown in rigorous trials to produce meaningful fat loss beyond accompanying diet and exercise changes.
