Eloralintide is an investigational next-generation amylin analog being developed for weight management. Like cagrilintide, it mimics the satiety hormone amylin. It is earlier in clinical development and has not been approved.

How Eloralintide works
It activates amylin receptors in the brain, reducing appetite and slowing gastric emptying — the same class mechanism as cagrilintide. As a next-generation analog it is being optimized for efficacy and tolerability. Human efficacy and safety data are still emerging.

A worked example
A 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water gives 5 mg/mL. A 3000 mcg dose is then 0.6 mL — about 60 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe, giving roughly 3 doses per vial before accounting for residual volume left in the vial and syringe.
